11th New Year Music Festival in Gstaad
DECEMBER 2016. The 11th Edition of the New Year Music Festival in Gstaad, under the high patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, presented a fabulous programme featuring the finest young talents and established maestros invited by the festival's founder and artistic director, Princess Caroline Murat. To name a few, the great lyric soprano Inva Mula, Gaston Rivero, tenor, Jeremy Menuhin and his partner Mookie-Lee Menuhin, piano, Gautier Capuçon, cello, Julian Rachlin, violin, Emmanuel Rossfelder, guitar, or the divine actresses Cyrielle Clair and Clotilde Courau. In partnership with the international Vincenzo Bellini Belcanto Contest, the New Year Music Festival in Gstaad also hosted Master Classes with the legendary Léontina Vaduva, soprano and Maestro Marco Guidarini, which were followed by a final concert with the participants.
Thanks to the 'Club des Amis', presided by Jean-Sébastien Robine, the festival has seen a big upsurge of support from many music lovers and connoisseurs. Throughout the festival, there was a festive and friendly atmosphere, the concerts were sold out, and the dinners that were hosted either at the hotel Ultima Gstaad, at the Gstaad Yacht Club or in private chalets were all a great success.

DECEMBER 2016. Michèle Cotta was our guest of honour at the Club des Leaders Geneva on the occasion of the publication of her book « Comment en est-on arrivé là ? Histoire d’un chaos politique » by Robert Laffont Editions. The lunch took place at the hotel Beau-Rivage in Geneva.

NOVEMBER 2016. The Club des Leaders Geneva welcomed Caroline Pigozzi, journalist at Paris Match and Europe 1, French author specializing in the Vatican, on the topic « The functioning of Pope François, his stakes », on the occasion of the publication of her books « Ainsi fait-il » and « Pape François, Paroles en liberté ».

NOVEMBER 2016. Club des Leaders dinner at the Cercle Munster in Luxembourg with HRH Prince Charles-Emmanuel de Bourbon de Parme, on the occasion of the publication of his book « Le bon sens du pouvoir » at Lacour-Ollé editions.
Concert and dinner at the Rosey Concert Hall
NOVEMBER 2016. The Members of the Club des Leaders met for a concert and dinner at concert the Rosey Concert Hall in Rolle, Switzerland. They could admire a performance by Yuri Temirkanov and Jean-Yves Thibaudet who played La Valse by Maurice Ravel and Petrouchka d'Igor Stravinski.
Dinner with Professor Xavier Oberson
NOVEMBER 2016. The Club des Leaders dinner was held in London, in honour of Professor Xavier Oberson, tax expert and professor of law at the University of Geneva. Sir Anthony Jolliffe, former Lord Mayor of London, was among the guests who were carefully selected for this occasion. The gastronomic dinner was prepared by the executive chef Henry Brosi and completed with caviar and white truffles by Princesse d'Isenbourg.

Lunch with Darius Rochebin
OCTOBER 2016. Darius Rochebin, the renowned TV newscaster for the Swiss TV channel RTS, held a brilliant intervention as guest of honor at the Club des Leaders in Geneva. For once the roles were reversed and Darius Rochebin was interviewed by the 130 members of the Club who were present that day.

Members particularly welcomed the presence of Count Gonzague Saint-Bris, honorary member of the Club des Leaders, who amused them with his legendary verve.

A Sunday in the mountains
SEPTEMBER 2016. Members of the Club des Leaders gathered in the French mountains in Megève for a sunny Sunday lunch in the beautiful hotel gardens of the "Fermes de Marie". The reunion was particularly appreciated by the members who know the resort as their leisure destination.
Teresa Astorina, Chairman of John Taylor Switzerland, announced the new patron membership of John Taylor at the Club des Leaders over the next two years. Like John Taylor, the Club des Leaders shares the values of quality, excellence, luxury and audaciousness. This partnership allows the Club des Leaders to continue its development with the opening of a sixth Chapter in Zurich.

SEPTEMBER 2016. On the occasion of the monthly luncheon of the Club des Leaders at the Hotel Beau-Rivage in Geneva, Eric Zemmour, French journalist at RTL and Figaro Magazine, came to present his new book "Un quinquennat pour rien" published by Albin Michel Editions. Maître Marc Bonnant and Professor Xavier Oberson were among the members who responded to Eric Zemmour's speech.

AUGUST 2016. Jean-Sebastien Robine, president and founder of the Club des Leaders, Byron Baciocchi and Max-Hervé George, owners of the Hotel Ultima Gstaad and ambassadors of the Club des Leaders Monaco, hosted a dinner of the Club des Leaders at the Hotel Ultima Gstaad. Members of the Club had the unique opportunity to discover the hotel before its official opening in December 2016. Before the dinner, BARNES presented the Battersea Power Station development in London, one of the largest urban regeneration projects in the world.

JULY 2016. Like every year, Donor Members of the Club des Leaders came together for a summer lunch at the famous Club 55 in Saint-Tropez.

JULY 2016. Members of the Club des Leaders gathered for a dinner at the hotel La Réserve in Geneva. They were all very much looking forward to getting together soon again for the summer events in Monaco, Saint-Tropez and Gstaad, before the resumption of the Club activities in London and Geneva in September.
Dinner at Ultima Gstaad
JULY 2016. Donor Members of the Club des Leaders had the occasion to discover, during an exclusive preview, the newly constructed hotel Ultima in Gstaad, which will open its doors in December 2016. Teresa Astorina, chairman of John Taylor Switzerland and Supporting Member of the Club des Leaders presented the different activities of John Taylor Switzerland. Her speech was followed by a delicious gastronomic dinner at the hotel restaurant, which looks to be very promising!
Weekend in Monaco
JUNE 2016. The Club des Leaders hosted a dinner at the Automobile Club de Monaco, followed by a lunch at the Monaco Yacht Club in honour of HRH Prince Charles-Philippe d'Orléans.
Dinner with Alexandre Mars
JUNE 2016. Alexandre Mars is a serial entrepreneur and philanthropist also referred to as the "French Bill Gates“. Over the past 15 years, he launched and sold several companies in Europe and the United States, such as Phonevalley and ScrOOn that were sold to Publicis Groupe and Blackberry. In 2014, he founded Epic Foundation to bridge the gap between a new generation of individual and corporate donors and organizations supporting children and youth globally. In 2015, he was named one of “New York City’s top 20 philanthropists under 40” by the New York Observer. The Club des Leaders dinner was held in the private dining rooms of The Lanesborough in London and was a great success, thanks to the many personalities who came to support this cause.
Lunch at La Nautique with Jean-Louis Debré
JUNE 2016. The Club des Leaders Geneva was honoured to welcome Jean-Louis Debré, President of the Constitutional Council (2007-2016), President of the National Assembly of France (2002-2007) and Minister of the Interior (1995-1997), at the Société Nautique in Geneva. Jean-Louis Debré presented his book « Ce que je ne pouvais pas dire » (Robert Laffont), with which he breaks the duty of confidentiality imposed on him as president of the Constitutional Council for nine years.

Trip to Belgrade
JUNE 2016. Thirty-five prominent members of the Club des Leaders experienced four days of cultural discoveries and festivities in Belgrade, Serbia. The sunny days were marked by many visits and dinners with exciting encounters. The highlight was a gala dinner at the White Palace (Beli Dvor) with a brilliant conference by HRH Princess Marie Gabrielle of Savoy on her ancestor Prince Eugene of Savoy, the great strategist of his time, who liberated Belgrade from Ottoman yoke. The conference was followed by a beautiful cocktail on the terrace of the Palace with an amazing traditional Serbian dance performance. Fifty guests attended the gala dinner that took place in the ballroom of the Palace, in the presence of HRH Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia, daughter of Prince Regent Paul of Yugoslavia. Her nephew, HRH Prince Michel of Yugoslavia gave a moving speech about his grandparents who lived in the palace, and paid tribute to his two aunts. The guests lived a moment out of time as the Palace rediscovered its splendor of yesteryear.
Staying at the hotel Square Nine, the Members of the Club des Leaders also had the opportunity to visit Oplenac and dine in the superb restaurant Madera on Sunday night. The next day, a boat had been privatized for a cruise on the Danube and Sava rivers, which took place in a very warm atmosphere. The Club des Leaders would like to thank Their Royal Highnesses Prince and Princess Alexander of Serbia and Tatiana Babac for their warm welcome at the Royal Palace and for their help in the organization.

Lunch in honour of baron David de Rothschild
MAY 2016. The Club des Leaders luncheon took place at the Société Nautique on the sunny shores of Lake Geneva. After almost 6 years of monthly Club des Leaders gatherings, it has now become a practice that Geneva's most important personalities come together to welcome the Club's keynote speaker, which on that particular day was baron David de Rothschild, chairman of Rothschild Group, member of the Supervisory Board of Edmond de Rothschild, administrator of the Casino Group and Compagnie Financière Martin Maurel. Commander of the Legion of Honour, he is also president of the Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah, director of the Institute for Brain and Spinal Cord Disorders and President of the Foundation FondaMental Suisse.
Accompanied by Professor Marion Leboyer, who is known as a professor of psychiatry at the Hospital Henri Mondor, Baron David de Rothschild and professor Leboyer came to present the Foundation FondaMental Suisse that supports the scientific cooperation. The Foundation was born from the desire to support innovative research projects to meet the challenges posed by the most debilitating mental illnesses and thus improve the care of patients. The Foundation supports research into debilitating diseases including autism, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorders, suicidal behavior and bipolar disorder. It is set to become the first private pole advanced research in psychiatry in Switzerland.
Among the 130 guests we welcomed the presence of Laurent Dassault, President of Marcel Dassault Industrial Group, H.H. Princess Aga Khan, the Swiss National Councillor Claude Béglé, Jean-Jacques Borgstedt, president of Pelichet Group, Riccardo Tattoni, Count Emanuele Zanon di Valgiurata , chairman of the bank Morval, Teresa Astorina, President John Taylor Switzerland, Petra Castro (Patek Philippe) and Alexandre Cornot, president of Brimoncourt champagnes which guests had the plesure to taste during the cocktail.
Dinner at Cercle Munster
MAY 2016. The Club des Leaders gathered at the Cercle Munster in Luxembourg for dinner. With the valuable help of Brigitte Pochon and Fabien Weyders, they welcomed several personalities of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Kingdom of Belgium. Among the guests we could distinguish the presence of Philippe Foriel-Destezet, founder of Adecco Group, Hugues Delcourt, CEO of BIL and also of HSH Princess de Cröy-Roeulx, Prince Bernard of Merode, HE Homayoun Bahadori, Vice-Minister of the Imperial Court of the Shah of Iran, or countess Helene de Pourtalès, who all came to support H.R.H. Prince Michel of Yugoslavie who presented his first photography exhibition. It also was the occasion to celebrate the anniversary of Marianne Graas-El Hage, Member of the Club des Leaders.

APRIL 2016. Ashish J. Thakkar, a 34-year-old visionary entrepreneur and Founder of Mara Group, a Pan-African conglomerate involved in technology, real estate, infrastructure, and banking, employing over 11,000 people in 25 different African countries, was the keynote speaker at the Club des Leaders in London, presented his book ‘The Lion Awakes: Adventures in Africa’s Economic Miracle’. Ashish J. Thakkar was the first African ever to be named in Fortune Magazine’s prestigious annual ‘40 Under 40’. In 2014 Forbes named him "one of the ten most powerful men in Africa".
Lunch in honour of Hélène Carrère d'Encausse
APRIL 2016. The Club des Leaders was honoured to welcome Hélène Carrère d'Encausse, who arrived specially to Paris to meet the members of the Club. Great expert and historian of Russia, Member of the French Academy since 1991 and its Permanent Secretary since 1999, she was awarded the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor, the highest distinction that was granted only to 14 women since its creation in 1802. Hélène Carrère Encausse is the author of several reference books on Russia which have received numerous awards, including Nicolas II, Lenin, the Romanovs, Catherine II or ' Le Malheur
Russe'. The 130 participants of the Club des Leaders lunch were privileged to meet this exceptional personality who presented her new book published by Editions Fayard, 'Six années qui ont changé le monde 85-91, la chute de l’Empire Soviétique'.
After lunch, Darius Rochebin, the Swiss TV newscaster has devoted his show 'Pardonnez-moi' to Hélène Carrère d'Encausse.

March 2016. The Club des Leaders United Kingdom hosted a dinner at the Penthouse Suite of The Dorchester in honour of Ingrid Seward, writer and commentator of the British royal family, who presented her latest book 'The Queen's Speech'.
Lunch to the benefit of PanEco Foundation
MARCH 2016. The Club des Leaders was pleased to welcome Regina Frey and Dr. Andréas Messikommer, two 'heroes of nature'. Each year in Indonesia, millions of hectares of tropical forests disappear in smoke to create new agricultural land for the cultivation of palm oil, killing dozens of orangutans and further weakening the ecosystem. Through her PanEco Foundation, Regina Frey has dedicated her life to save the lives of the last world's last orangutans. Together with Dr. Andreas Messikommer, a surgeaon who is also very committed to this cause, they perform miracles to preserve the endangered species.
Club des Leaders weekend in Milan
MARCH 2016. The Donor Members of the Club des Leaders went to Milan for a cultural weekend in a friendly atmosphere. On Friday, Members gathered for a private dinner hosted by Cecilia and Christian Roger in the most exclusive private club of Milan. The next day, after a cocktail at Tod's, the participants went to go shopping or sightseeing in the streets of Milan, under a beautiful Spring sunshine. A wonderful evening was held at La Scala on the occasion of the presentation of "I due Foscari" by Verdi with the legendary Maestro Placido Domingo, who honoured the Members with his presence at the Club des Leaders dinner in the restaurant Boeucc.
Lunch with Gonzague Saint Bris at the Cercle Munster
MARCH 2016. The Club des Leaders Luxembourg hosted a lunch in honour of Gonzague Saint Bris, French historian and writer, who presented his book ' Louis XI le méconnu' at the Cercle Munster. The day before, a magnificent dinner was hosted by a member of the Club des Leaders in her residence in Luxembourg.
Lunch in honour of Adolf Ogi, former President of Switzerland
FEBRUARY 2016. The Club des Leaders had the honour to welcome Adolf Ogi, Member of the Swiss Federal Council from 1987 to 2000, President of the Swiss Confederation in 1993 and in 2000, and Special Adviser on Sport for Development and Peace to the United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, on the occasion of the monthly lunch at the hotel Beau-Rivage Geneva. 120 guests listened with great interest to the former President's speech which was at the time highly interesting and educational, with a touch of humour. Some 'happy few' had the occasion to be introduced by Adolf Ogi to Kofi Annan, Secretary-General of the United Nations, at the end of this memorable lunch.

FEBRUARY 2016. Members of the Club des Leaders were invited to discover the photographies of HRH Prince Michel of Yugoslavia at the Gstaad Palace. The exhibition was followed by a lunch at the restaurant Gildo's.
5th Anniversary gala dinner of the Club des Leaders
JANUARY 2016. A gala dinner was hosted at the hotel Beau-Rivage Geneva on the occasion of the 5 years anniversary of the Club des Leaders. Several personalities got together to support the Club. The atmosphere was so lively that it was necessary to stop the music at 2am. The members all demanded the establishment of a dance party every year.
